Christs College Trip!

Last week on Wednesday I was selected to be one of the 10 year 7 students to represent that were chosen to go to Christ College, We were separated into groups we got red bags with a small water bottle, a book with a pen
We got to do some activities around Christs college. My group was Sophie Pascoe, I was with Faith.

My favorite thing about the whole experience was the attitude talk it was funny and enjoyable, especially when they told us their stories.

I Learnt that I am a golden retrotter, (golden retriever and a otter)
I also learnt that it is better to communicate by using someones name. Also use body language.

What are we doing: We are learning 4 songs on a guitar, 

feelings: I'm feeling happy that I chose guitar for my arts kete because I want to play guitar for my family if we do songs for someones birthday or something.

What am I learning to do?

I'm learning how to play 5 songs on the guitar and learning how to switch chords really fast. 

What have I found challenging?:
switching chords fast, and keeping in time with Miss Gibson and switching to E

What have I been successful at?:

I've been successful at switching to d,a,g without looking, kind of have to look when I change to G still.

What do I still need to l master/next steps.

Learning how to play the songs without stopping to change and strum and trying to sing!

Can't wait until we finish so I can start teaching my whanau and friends how to play.

What are we doing: feelings

What am I learning to do?

What have I found challenging?:
What I find challenging about learning the guitar is learning if you are pressing on the strings hard enough and making the right sounds, It felt challenging when we were told to strum on top of the sound hole, because I was so use to strumming on the neck of the guitar.

What have I been successful at?:

I think I was pretty good at remembering the parts of the guitar and putting my fingers in the right places.

What do I still need to l master/next steps.

I think I could try to do the chords without looking and learning new things about the guitar like its history and etc.

I'm looking forward to learning about the guitar and how to play through out the weeks of term 4.

How To Write A Quality Blog Comment.

blog comments are a critical part of a successful blog.        

 blog comments are what make a blog interactive and social

 blog comments are fun and interesting when you can get a conversation going.

 Be Positive

 Compliment the writer by saying something nice about their post, If you would like to make your comment more interesting, use more words NOT more exclamation marks.

 Remember, be Specific!

 Ask A Question

 it is always good to end your comment with a question. Asking questions at the end of your comment is good to keep the conversation going, and DON'T forget the question mark!

 Make a connection

 For Example, say the writer was writing about their trip to Aussie or Tonga, and you have been there, share more information or tell the writer about your experience.   

 Be Careful With Humor

be careful with humor, it could be tricky

 Make sure your comment is helpful and meaningful, your comment might motivate the writer to write more stories.

Re-read Your Comment

 Does your comment make sense?

 Make sure exclamation marks, question marks, correct spelling.

 It is worth re-reading your comment just in case!

 your blog comment is you digital footprints, a path back to you prepare you path wisely 

 Remember what ever you post on the internet can be seen by everyone and is permanent, NEVER share you private information with the world.

Rockin' Food

For the past 3 weeks, we have been doing B&E (Business & Enterprise)

Our team name is "Rockin' Food"

On Wednesday was market day! We sold our products and we sold out.

Our products that we made were, Maori rocks, S'mores and marshmallow sticks

Market day is like a small mall, where everyone can spend their money, and spend their money on things they would like to buy.

I personally think market day is really fun so you can see what people would make.

I liked seeing all of the different and creative ideas that people had.

My least favourite thing was when people would come up to our stand and ask "How Much Are Those?" "Can I Get A Free Sample?" Then when they found out that they couldn't have a free sample, they just walked away! Also when people would ask what the price was it would annoy me because
Why couldn't they just look and read the sign!
And when they found out that hat the price was, they just walked off.
But I think that market day was overall fun day!
My favourite part of market day was, EATING!
